We had to use our non-dominant hand, close our eyes, and just let our hand move however it wanted. We were to do this every day for 7 days. The idea was not to create a work of art, but to just get used to letting go of control. We could go to back to them later and color them in and it was really a fun, liberating exercise, freeing up the flow of creativity!Life Potentials Networkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14428773940113856252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194849276146368273.post-64237311840613571362009-05-18T10:15:00.000-04:002009-05-18T10:15:00.000-04:00Joanne,

I'm tring to set more guidelines going into this next novel so I have a better "blueprint" that will hopefully eliminate big plot revisions. We'll see how it goes. I want to start writing NOW of course, but holding off until it is more developed in my head.

Thanks for the post. :)B J Keltzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06433937118394895048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194849276146368273.post-1903423078582024302009-05-16T21:12:00.000-04:002009-05-16T21:12:00.000-04:00I think maybe we get so, so intent on the writing ...I think maybe we get so, so intent on the writing at hand, that is the moment we stop having "fun." But I like being in that really intent zone, too, when my world is focused down to the keyboard and my thoughts to the exclusion of all else. It's an interesting place to be, but not necessarily "fun." I might actually be immersed in the seriousness of what I'm penning. Satisfying? Yes. Immensely rewarding. Purposeful. Positive. A great place to be.Joannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03972054718663959694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194849276146368273.post-33784870635919450182009-05-16T19:48:00.000-04:002009-05-16T19:48:00.000-04:00Oh yes Jan,

The one I struggled with was "Have fun," so I am looking at that one again, thanks to you. As much as I love having a column (actually I write 3-5 a month, depending on the publications' schedules), sometimes I dread the deadlines. This, I think, puts a damper on my enthusiasm, at least initially. Because really, what writer wouldn't die to have a monthly column? Once I get into the swing of things, though, my enthusiasm begins to rise and I am pretty darn happy with myself.

I always ask my husband to read over my work after I tighten up the draft. Having a second opinion and a second set of eyes is really important!

Hope you loved your writing life today!Janice Lynne Lundyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12065023183951459029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194849276146368273.post-5792636999336700422009-05-16T09:11:00.000-04:002009-05-16T09:11:00.000-04:00Hey Terri,
